I really like the idea of this book (and I’m growing quite fond of Rainbow Rowell!) but it fell a little short ultimately. For starters, up until the very end I really wasn’t sure where the book was going. I thought maybe through talking to past Neal and all the reflecting that she would amicably divorce from Neal and end up with Seth. Neal was so….. grumpy. And I get that Georgie wasn’t perfect either

Will Neal ever be satisfied? What happens to Georgie’s career? Seth……? The concept was cool, I liked some of the points, but I just don’t feel they were right for each other…… I think I’m going to go with a 3.5! Glad I read it as I close in on Rainbow Rowells main backlog :)

But for so much of the book it felt like Neal was just as unwilling to bend and this man ignored his wife for almost 10 days….. I don’t know, I don’t love the ending where Georgie ends up with Neal. It didn’t feel in the end that he was right for her. Even if it wasn’t a love story with Seth, Neal did not feel like the answer. And there were so many unanswered questions in the end.
