The character rating in this book is exceptional. The prose is exceptional. But this book is not for the faint of heart. The dystopian world is disturbing. And the writing is vivid. Like Stephen King in terms of the ability to draw you in to a disturbing place.

Dystopian near future. I am wondering where optimistic views of the future have gone. Having said that, the prose is very well done in this book.

Just getting to know the main character, but the quality of writing is quite high in this book. She has won both the Hugo and Nebula awards. Her prose is quite powerful.
