Omg gay couples exist and have different experiences with mental load and traditional gender roles compared to straight couples?! Super glad we waited until the end to mention this and not expand on it at all.

Unfortunately the reviews (which I did not read until a quarter into the book) are very correct so far about this being focused almost exclusively on heterosexual parents (mom vs dad) and not as much on just mental burnout in general, or even women in general. A little sad
