Emma is persistent. I feel like I would have a temper too. Her day to day life is interesting. She asserts herself finally. She is not taken seriously. Her father was a kind man but people pleased/underestimated the villain that is Archibald. Emma will not play the victim despite having the right. She doesn't have much to her name but she can manage. She is a resilient, resourceful, has fascinating entries. Go girl!

She’s furious that her copy of Paradise Lost was taken. She loves literature, reading the notes of her father. I suspect as she’s writing in her journal- it’s an ode to her father who wrote a ton. She’s learned her lessons. She’s someone who really loves to ponder. She’s been taken advantage of; her quality of life depends on her outlook; which is very optimistic. However, she’s been treated horribly.

This is funny, thoughtful & Emma is very patient & she’s great company. Her observations are cool. The storytelling is very unique & cool. The diaries are very well paced. The vocabulary is something I should look up later. Sophisticated & down to earth.She’s so likable, I root for her! Hopefully she can get her inheritance. She’s so resourceful, she’s totally giving AuDHD vibes. I am certain she’ll succeed

Emma is just recounting how she arrived. She’s giving YouTuber before it existed. She’s grounded, very much invested into explaining things. Also, she’s noticing the gossip in a humorous way. It’s definitely very refined diary. The intro for this book is phenomenal.
