Just wanted to let my Goodreads friends know that I'm alive and kicking. :) Poor Hubs had to have a hip replacement b/c of an old bike accident, so I'm helping him shuffle around and do his rehab. Sorry about the sporadic communication on here, but I just wanted to say I missed you guys!

I'm sorry... :(That's difficult rehab especially if the patient insists on continued independence. However, your husband is in good hands. I don't suspect you will tolerate a lot of macho nonsense, but you will be incredibly supportive.
Hope that he overcomes the pain as quickly as possible and is out playing with the young ones again soon.

If it's any consolation, you could tell him that he probably has a much better hip than Steve Austin, and he was supposedly worth six million dollars in the 70's.

I was about to pm you like I did before. Sorry this happened. Hip replacement is no joke and you're one patient wife assisting & supporting him and not leaving his side.Here's a well wish for his quick recovery.

Ugh. I am propping myself up with NSAIDS, Aspercreme and ice packs trying to stave off knee replacement as long as I can. I hope his recuperation is swift, gentle and narcotized.
