Ooop! I think I know whodunnit…

I feel like I've been reading this for DAYS and I still don't know what the hell is going on here. Like, I'm curious as to what this whole interview is leading toward but we seem to be getting there in the most boring way possible. Oh! I just realized this bastard is 27 hours long! WTF kind of Moby Dick bullshit is that for the 1st book in a fantasy series?! Do I stay or do I go?

Kind of boring so far. The "mystery" isn't all that appealing and I'm not connecting with any of the characters. I can't relate to the family dynamics, either. Hoping it gets better or goes in a different direction or...something.

I'm really enjoying the plot but DAMN there's a lot of that young adult silliness when it comes to love interests.

I don't know if I'm going to make it. I keep zoning out from boredom. At one point I realized that I wasn't actually hearing words, just a wahwahwah Charlie Brown noise. In fact, I'm pretty sure I'm going to have to back it up an hour or so and relisten. Pray for me.

When did this stop being Venom volume 5?

Can SOMEONE STOP the idiotic nonsense of changing the names of comic book volumes to the 'name of the volume'? No one who reads TPBs searches for them that way!!!!!!! Who came up with this idea?! STOP IT! STOP IT!

This Jade character is pretty fucking weird and annoying so far. I'm wondering if I should DNF or if it gets better? I feel sorry for her but at the same time, she seems like a creep.

We're on some post-apocalyptic earth, three tribes not necessarily peacefully interacting, one is the "skinwalkers" and another is led by a "moon woman" who is half-moon, half-sun, and there is a "moon fever" going around...

Huh. So this King guy can really spin a yarn! Keep your eye on this up and coming author, people. I'm thinking it's possible he might make a name for himself one day!
