I threw in the towel because of the ya silliness
And apparently it's a nearly a rip off of other YA works like Shadow and Bone.

Apparently it's supposed to be. New Adult (19-early20s)... It definitely reads YA. I enjoyed it enough but it's not great.
It does not stop. In fact, depending on what you are talking about it may just get worse lol.
