Will has found his way into the chamber where St. Thomas' relic is located. His life is in danger as is the two friends he has with him. Another friend has ratted him out to his mother who up to this point thought he was planting trees, a harmless activity. The tree planting was a "community service" project given to him as punishment for the last act of disobedience he performed.
