If you are a fairly serious reader who reads dozens of (mostly good) books in succession, do you continue reading because all the books you read really excite you? Do you abandon midway all the ones that don't stimulate you? Or, do you read one book after the other mechanically without deriving much pleasure? Were you ever bored because even the good books don't really EXCITE you much anymore? Any similar experience?

life's too short to be forcing yourself to finish a book that doesn't stimulate you :)

If it doesn't stimulate, then no, I stop. Unless, it's non-fiction--then again, it depends.
