I need and entertaining novel, preferably a little old so it will be available in the library. I have just abandoned two dreadful books for being boring. Any recommendations?

My next two books in queue are Remember Me by Sophie Kinsella and The Invention of Wings by Sue Monk.

Grisham....you know the formula but always entertaining.
I read The Invention of Wings after my trip to Charleston- really enjoyed it.Also, HIGHLY recommend Moloka'i by Alan Brennert.
I read Moloka'i after you told me about it a while back. Agree, wonderful book! I knew nothing about Hawaii history. I loved the characters. Invention of Wings is on my list now, thanks!
