Not getting this. The chapters not distinct, the characters all come over like the same voice; same structure chapter after chapter I can't see, at this point, how this won Booker.

Ok now this is getting to me. There's an awful lot of gangland murdering in this story. Shocking and horrible. Despicable licentious depraved human filth are doing it. Poetically told. Very disturbing.
