I've only just started the book but I love it. So well written. I had forgotten I had put it on digital hold. I love this passage: and apparently I can't paste a screenshot. Basically it's 1933 in the Loire valley and one girl says to another "lord knows, the Germans are no match for us". Love the thinking of that character before the chaos really started. Shows the European mindset at the time.
