Spotted one minor error, but this is an old print version! I think I've since fixed it. This is the big full series read through for book 5!

re-reading so I can read the whole series into Deathsworn Arc 6 and make sure everything 100% makes sense!

Well I'm in Briem, just read the feast scene and Vashni's dealings with Angela. Taking mental notes about how this section fits in with the portrayal of Karras and Angela in book 5 and 6... Did I say six? Yes, it is underway. It's a slow-burn at the moment, once I've finished the re-read I should be able to plough forwards a bit faster!

I'm still enjoying this, spotted 2 sentences which ought to have been sorted better. I wish this read as strongly as the later books though. At the Town of Briem now. Need to make some tweaks on 'Lady Death' to reflect her regular references to her time as a thief.

Reading this again to continuity check 'Lady Death' and to prime myself to get stuck into writing Deathsworn Arc 6: Emergence. Or if I manage to wrap up the series in the next book: Deathsworn Arc 6: God Slayer. So far that's looking unlikely though. Having to make a few tweaks to 'Lady Death' for continuity sake, but I really like the spin it puts on Vashni, her character and her motivations in book 1.

Well I've started re-reading my own series, to see how it flows into the newest installment. I read this over only two or three days while on holiday in Cornwall. I love this book, but I read it back now and I think if I wrote it again, I could improve it. I think it's hard reading back your own work, especially when you've been working hard on improving your craft.

Note to self - Harald is from the Steppes of Silavria and his betrothed is called Moira! Right! Onto the Verkreath Horror!

Another key point - Vashni describes elves as being infants until 60 and children until 200. I need to make sure when Elden Roth describes his childhood in Eldenizar it fits! :O

Town of Briem is a great chapter! I read it back and I'm really pleased with it.

What have I picked up from this re-read? Votrex's father is Garric, and Harald comes from the Steppes of Silavria and the rolling plains of Kushak. When I eventually map the north I will have to remember that!
