Very nice flow from book 1 to book 2. I've just updated my review of book 1 to reflect my latest re-read. I feel already this one flows even better than the first.

I finished my re-read of book 1 and I'm getting stuck into book 2. I actually think I prefer this to the first book, but I don't think I could enjoy this as much as I'm enjoying it without getting to know the group as you do in book 1. Highlights so far? Well, the journey to and the events in Strak definitely. The encounter with the Dragon Priest Ramon Hern and the verkreath infested Beren'Gedt Holt. Book 6 = coming!

Binge-read most of this over the last few days. I think it really picks up pace once they meet Elira. The battle in Beren'Gedt Holt and especially the battle at the bottom of the well are great scenes. I'm really pleased with them.

Just read the Transmutation chapter. I am quite pleased with the way I blended science and magic here. I DO think this is a stronger book than the first one. It's not without it's quirks, but it feels more rounded and mainstream. Giving me a few things to think about for book 6: Emergence.

Just read the Challenge of Ramon Hern. I still think that was a great fight! I really think Korhan is due for a bit more success in DSA 6! It's time he got his 'win on'

I'm enjoying this more than the first one. I DID spot one tiny somewhere, but I can't remember where. Annoying, but hopefully not important. I feel like the relationship between characters starts on a completely different foot in this book.

Fixed a few tiny errors for the a version. Votrex unlocking an already unlocked door being one example. Brael climbing out of a whole being another. God... I really should have fixed this years ago! :( Hopefully this version will be definitive, then maybe I'll be ready to look at the Audiobook version? ;)

Really enjoyed the final battle and the aftermath. Despite this being an early version, I'm quite pleased with it. The scenes with Elira, the truth and the battles are strongest I think. Votrex really seems in his element here.

Read pretty much the whole book over last few days. I love the story, in this early version (6.2.6 July 2014) there were still writing issues. I like to think I could always tell a story, but that my writing has really evolved since. It's almost a pity more people's first experience of my writing wasn't may latest DSA5: The Temple of the Mad God, because I'm sure it's 100x better. About to read the battle in the well

I'm liking the build up to the duel! The warren bit is good, but I'm really pleased with the build up to the duel. I can't wait to read it now!

Despite spotting a clunky sentence in the slightly older version I'm reading, I like this. The description of Strak, I'm quite happy with. It's an interesting town which I may have to revisit at some point in the story!
