Fascinating! I've been able to verify the author's mention of historical people, customs, and political atmosphere. The French Revolution! The Tom Woods Show (podcast) also has an episode about the revolution ("The Reign of Terror", episode 453) which I found really interesting. Politics tend to go in cycles and I am reading this with an eye on our current budding revolution.

This.book is fascinating, and as I read and take note of historical names, phrases, and political facts, it's fun to look them up - they are indeed accurate. The French Revolution was really something; I didn't learn this in school. Also listened to Tom Woods (The Tom Woods Show on podcast) talk about it.

This is the perfect read for me right now. Historical fiction about Josephine Bonaparte.
