Is this a YA novel?
Interesting complexity in protagonist (bad boy at school, black sheep at home).
Simplistic magic system, good white witch, neutral grey wizard, chaotic black warlock.

So warlocks are practitioners of chaos magic (not evil, but selfish, so Slytherin), and expected to indulge their desires. Until baby warlock meets a great guy and all of a sudden he can reign in teenage hormones to go at the pace his beloved sets. Totally believable.

Some sexy scenes, so may be not YA, but New Adult.
Reads a little like Draco Malfoy finding his less dickish side.
Secrets abound, my suspicion is on the fact that the guy who he thinks is his dad really isn't.
