This is my first Barbara Michaels' book. The atmosphere is well set. The characters are fleshed out and believable. I adore the tidbits of history mixed with myths and legends. That's one of the things I enjoy about books set in Cornwall- there are legends galore tempered with history that's equally as fantastical. The suspense is building well and I'm anticipating what will come next.

This book is just clipping along. The pace is excellent. The suspense is building fantastically. While there are characters who seem pleasant enough, everyone has a bit of an edge that leaves me a tad uneasy. Cornwall and her history are heavily featured. I love how the history impacts on the suspense. Spooky...
