Okay, Bel is cute. I still want my Mogget, but I will settle for him.

Honestly having spoiled myself about who Clariel is, I think we're being a bit heavy handed with her not wanting to be around people. I think she'd be a more interesting character overall if she did enjoy friends? Like at least with Lirael, the isolationism was protectionary.

I flipped back to check how many pages this is annnnnnd spoiled myself. Oops. On the plus side I'm now more interested in the premise.
