I only had a chance to read the first two chapters but I know this is right up my alley. So far it reminds me of if The Warden from the Low Town Trilogy was narrating his travels with The Black Company from Glen Cooks series.
I'm not far enough in yet but this has the potential to be near the top of the best reads of the year list.

This is good. Very good. The main character reminds me a lot of the Warden from Low Town, but a lot of that may be because it is also told from a first person perspective. It really allows you to enter the mind of Captain Galharrow and realize he may be a touch Cynical. Just a touch
