There are now a multitude of threads and themes merging in this tale...Boudicca, Egypt...lost scrolls!

is finished
Finished! Interesting that VMK thinks of Stonehenge as female...I and others intuit a male presence in the stones, and female at Avebury.
Lots of twists to the end, I had my eye on someone else, rather than the obvious.

Oh dear, I wonder if Ch19 & 20 just didn't get proof read. Inferred where it should be implied, chasse - umm - I could only guess this should be chassis, and forth instead of fourth.
Plot is moving along well, with lots of twists and turns. A tad too much angst for my taste, but it works in context. Some explanations have been forthcoming...naturally, as part of the dialogue. I'm hooked.

Halfway through...I'm going to need to change edition, this one has 258 pages! Still enjoying the story

The plot is fair racing along now, a few terms are becoming clear by inference, rather than explanation. There are a surprising number of typos (shoot the editor/proof reader!): addition instead of edition for example. IN the opening paragraphs of Ch8, VMK implies the Blitz wasn't part of WW2! Actually counting the glass pieces on the clock face would give more credence. Enjoying the main story!

This has really got going now. There are relationship histories that are not explained, but I don't mind so much...had I read the earlier books, too much explanation in this one would annoy me.
Quibble: why are lifts (elevators) and train carriages referred to as carts?

so far, I'm as confused as the main character...whatever his name really is: he's been called 3 different names already! Wondering if starting with Book 3 will be confusing.
Got to mention it: mixed metaphor - storm breaking its banks....?
