I'd say I love this thought from a male character. Except this male character is perhaps not the manly hero he acts like most of the time.
Interesting to see so many flaws in our male hero... and many in our lead heroine as well.

I can't believe this is a stand alone fantasy novel!
There's just so much goodness here I don't want it to be over so soon.

This is soooo good!

I hope this is a series. The setup is really quite good and it's clear our characters are all going to impact one another in important ways. I could see this setting up a good trilogy.

Hmm... while this is interesting I feel like more should be happening...

So while this reads mostly like young adult I'd say it's more in the 14 or up range due to some of the vulgar words in it

No teen storytelling here. This is certainly adult style fantasy.
