I'm about 3 chapters in and I'm not enjoying the story thus far. Call my a cynic, but I have problems with the narration and the characters already. Do not necessarily buy into the fact that one character is acting as an investigator with only a card from another officer... Not sure if I'm going to get all the way through this one!
