I quit. This book is terrible.

And now I just read a long paragraph where the author compared a woman’s hair to a lava fall and cheering kids on a carousel. It also glows when she reads, incites gasps, and is a kite?? Someone take metaphors away from him immediately.

If I have to read one more description of this old guy's hands , I quit.

There's been FOUR descriptions of his hands and I'm not even 10 pages in.
