Saying this because I've been thinking it for a while and it needs to be said in case I'm right. If I'm wrong, please ignore this status and allow it to fade from existence.
THEORY: Alina is the firebird and there is no actual firebird animal. Alina was found in Dva Stolba. It's been way more difficult to find than the other amplifiers. Maybe ALINA is the firebird and *gasp* she's been there all along. "Plot twist"

Okay. Today is the day I push through this one. I'm not sure if I'll be able to finish it today, but I'm definitely going to make some major progress. If I don't, I'll be very annoyed with myself, since I'm posting now about how I WILL push through this today. Let's go.

Three things:
1. WHY ARE THESE CHAPTERS SO LONG
2. I really liked this first part of chapter 7. That's what I've been waiting for. The bit of justice, the snappy comments, the female empowerment/ banding together.
3. These chapters are far too long and it's proving difficult for me to keep my attention on them with this reading slump.
