Such horrible and weak characters.

OMG and things are soooo inappropriate at this hospital. Paige would be sent to HR on every other page. Why would you say “he’s the father of her baby” when asked if she knows who he is? Why not just “yes I do” or “yes she does”? Why is everyone in the hospital spreading it around that she’s pregnant too???

Dr. Whitehorse has been on one page and I already prefer him to Denver.
That would make a much better story.
“Single mom, newly dumped after finding out she’s pregnant find love again with a handsome doctor.”

I think they both over reacted. She knew he didn’t want children (because of fear that they’ll DIE!) so she should have been expecting him to be concerned/upset. Also she was on birth control so she should have been expecting him to be shocked. He wasn’t “rude and crass” until after she said he was. Then he got nasty. They should have been able to talk about it, her without her rose colored glasses.

And he still wants to dump her.
He needs major therapy. “Falling in Love” is not enough.

These kids half way talk like they’re 5 not 10/11 and half way talk like they’re from a 50s sitcom. This author needs to hangout with a few real life tweens before she tries writing anymore.

He says “I’m not worried about that. Not now.” In regulated to babies/accidental pregnancies but how much do you want to bet he’s going to flip the f*%k out when she tells him she’s pregnant?

This writing is a bit juvenile.
His wife got diabetes so he was going to have a vasectomy? Yeah that makes sense because you can’t just be mature adults and both be responsible about birth control.
He’s lucky that kind of ultimatum didn’t get him a divorce and same when his wife stopped taking her meds.

I get it’s sad to have your wife die but if you’re still this bad after 12 years you need some major therapy. He’s suppose to be nice and kind but it coming off as a bit of a dick.
Get over yourself dude, we’ve all lost people, life doesn’t go the way we want we don’t all become hermits.

This book has some very sexist undertones. Her two sons don’t seems to think men can cook, she only thinks men can be ranchers, not to mention a host of other jabs at stereotypical gender roles.
