So the next issue is her total disregard for her BFF's (traveling companion) (who paid for the trip) wishes in the interest of being an American butting into a foreign country's issues like, "Stand aside now. The heroine's activism has no foundation before she goes apeshit in a foreign country. I might have believed it if there had been more time setting this facet of her character instead of going straight for the stranger sex. So now I'm frustrated with it because I have no frame of reference for this.
