This has been an interesting read thus far. The characters are very different: Giles is gruff and I think he may have some issue with his hands while Audrina is not a virginal debutante at all and instead wishes for love and adventure. Along with the leads, there is a large cast of quirky characters. It makes for a fun holiday read...at least up to this point :)

There are so many good elements in here....but...BUT. I have found myself skimming through the endless internal circles that Giles and Audrina think through regularly. I can't follow the dialogue sometimes. Now I'm just skimming through their relationship to find out about the sister and the puzzle boxes, and the other secondary characters.

While still quirky and different, this story is slow going. I have a hard time finding the energy to pick it up again. I'm not blaming the book yet though...things have been busy around my house! Let's see how it goes this week.
