Reading a book set in London. I don't the the author has ever visited London - the Black Cabs don't have a trunk, and the ride from Heathrow to Central London in one of those is batshit crazy expensive. Write what you know and know what you write, seems to be a good idea. Also, research is your friend! Don't just assume! Details do matter, especially if your readers have "been there, done that" you know?
