I sidle up to the Christmas story party. "Hi. I'm a Christmas story!" I say, hopefully. The guy at the door eyes me up and down.
"You don't look like no Christmas,story," he says in a voice suggesting I'm less than frogspawn.
"Oh but I am," I protest, more quietly.
"What's your name? Are you even on the list?" He glares.
"Nobody's Butterfly, " I whisper. His eyebrows go up and down...
