I promised my class that I'd read this book. They "discovered" on their own that the author is the same author that wrote Hunger Games. :). They devoured the Overlander series after that. Gotta jump on the bandwagon or my Ss will track me down next yr.

I started this book and had to put it down. Am going to try to come back to it both because of the author and because of students' recommendations. Just not enjoying it right now.

I enjoyed the read, but wasn't wow-ed enough to read Book 2 in the series. I understand why students like the books though - lots of action, fantasy, and easy to read. :)
