This whole plot line is ridiculous! A doctor would certainly know how to get CPS involved and a doctor of his standing would easily be able to prove false her ridiculous, unspecified threat of proving him unfit. SMH

Damn! The author can't even keep the timeline straight. Shepherd tells his friend that Crow is getting married then we're getting an info dump through his thoughts that Crow is "in the middle of his first national tour". Duh!! Crow didn't get engaged until a YEAR AFTER HIS FIRST NATIONAL TOUR! SMH... so glad this is the last book that I bought!
