This book has already broken some of the cardinal rules of storytelling. It started with a dream, and I definitely felt cheated. It's needlessly repetitive -- said dream is summarized by the protagonist immediately after we read it for example. Not to mention most sentence's start with the same word and turn into run-ons. The writer tells and doesn't show and has no sense of what constitutes a chapter.
