Aaahh, I wish we could just read the 1936 storyline! It's so much more compelling than the modern-day storyline. Not that Stevie's story isn't interesting, but compared to the stakes and immediacy of what's happening in 1936, I just feel annoyed whenever we switch back to the awkward teenagers. Also did not enjoy Stevie's panic attack in the previous chapter. Felt so self-indulgent & silly vs murder and kidnapping.
