5 stars if Highsmith could leave out some details which made me wonder at their purposes. Details such as Therese leaving the bed unmade, for Florence to do it, etc.
It is very beautifully written otherwise; it could only be done by a writer who is very perceptive, especially when it comes to human emotions.
