For everyone that tries to make sense of the world as we live in it, I strongly recommend reading older histories of the places that you're from, in addition to more recent. This book offers a clearer history of some dynamics that occurred before I was born. The way that this history was written also offers me insight into how the genre has changed over time. Super solid.
