I'm not very sure that I like her stubborness in believing that she's even a little bit in danger. Does it hurt to be more careful? Here we are with a common, annoying trait of a strong heroine that I do not like.

Can't imagine when Stoker had the chance to communicate with a friend and make arrangements? If he did it before they departed London the first time, since I recall he did make some correspondents, how did he know they were going to return? ... so strange.

A lepidopterist and a taxidermist as our main characters. Action-packed since the very beginning. An independent and strong heroine who knows what she wants and is smart enough to know how to get it.
What is there not to like about this book so far? Nothing. Nothing at all. :)
