As much as this pains me because I love Elise Kova and all her other books, the pacing in this is way too slow for me, and the characters seem too flat. I loved the concept and the beginning sucked me in, but I’ve been struggling since about 30% or so I think. I may come back another time, but for now I need to let this book go 😭

While I’m thoroughly enjoying this book, I’m ashamed to say that I can’t stop picturing Snow as president snow from the hunger games... 😂

I find it interesting that in this futuristic novel, the authors chose a date that had already passed for us present day people as the start of WWIII. 😂.
