I ended up loving that series, but the first book can be dodgy. It really works best if you read all three books in a row as one big story.

Did you ever watch the television series based on the Phyrne Fisher books? I haven't read the books, but I have seen quite a few episodes of the show.

I think that I'm going to take the plunge. 😬
I like the series very much! And I have contributed to the kickstarter for the movie. I really like the books, and am working my way through the series.
