I picked this book up in a secondhand book store called Canty’s. It’s bringing back memories. In my teens, I lived, breathed and dreamt about chess. Bobby Fischer’s world championship win over Boris Spassky and the other Russians was the most exciting story in my world. Unlike the main character in this book I wasn’t very good at playing the game. Early days for this book, but I’m liking it already.
