It annoys me when authors don't use the appropriate vernacular with their characters, particularly regarding Britishisms and Americanisms. An American man would not say "She's meant to bring a ...", he would say "She's supposed to bring a...".

Still annoyed by inaccurate character voices. A 25 year old female American New Yorker wouldn't say "Rose colored spectacles", she'd say "Rose colored glasses".
