For me, this wasn't the greatest collection of poems. It was very much a commentary on its time, and it came with notes (which was much appreciated), but current affairs are already not one of my interests nowadays, the current affairs from 1928-1930 are not directly my main area of interest. Some gems are here, though - but I wish I had picked up another collection of Kästner's! Maybe in the future.
