Is Oklahoma part of "The South"? It is south of the Mason Dixon line, but the feel the book is giving is more Lousiana/Mississippi/Alabama/Georgia than Tulsa,Oklahoma.
The Gulf of Mexico would have a LONG way to go to considering Oklahoma is ABOVE Texas!

I'm just not loving this one. I've read a later book in this series, and loved it, but this one just isn't doing it for me...I'm back burnering it for a bit.
