One of the most intense chases I have read in a while. Genuine suspense.

Pretty slow at first. Has some interesting moments. The part with Pyrates is terrifying and palpable when he senses Simon in the storage room. I can definetly see some influences in Game of Thrones: the Sithi = children of forest, the red comet, good kings followed by bad heirs.
