I kept thinking all this book wanted was someone with consumption. So glad to see it come to fruition 🙄

If I didn’t want to know Temperance’s secret and see the lead-up to Silence and Mickey’s book, I would mark this one DNF right now. I’m finding it very hard to care about Lazarus at all—especially when he forces Temperance into voyeurism

There’s something... off about the interactions in this book so far. I’m not sure if Hoyt is trying to preserve the mystery or what, but the lack of internal dialogue makes everything fall very flat

I discovered I own bk 2 (unread) but never read this one. I’ve been meaning to check out this series for a while, so I guess this is as good a time as any!
