บางช่วงอ่านแล้วแอบคิดถึง Obasan ของ Joy Kogawa ที่เล่าเรื่องครอบครัวญี่ปุ่นในแคนาดาช่วงหลังสงครามโลก คือมันมีความถูกกดขี่ กีดกันคล้ายๆ กัน ต่างกันแค่เชื้อชาติ
