So many elements of this book were adapted into Thor movies (and specifically Thor: Ragnarok, which is my favourite of the bunch). It's awesome to see all of these little nods and realise where they came from. Thor, Mjolnir and Loki's head between them — awesome in the movie, even more awesome in the comic!

I took a bit of a break from this giant omni because of my Superman read-a-thon, but now I'm back at it, and the action is starting to ramp up. I still can't get over how awesome Simonson's art looks, even three decades after it was originally published.

While not every aspect of Simonson's Thor withstands the test of time, when it comes to suspense and epic fantasy there's just nothing else quite like it. Incredible stuff.
