I wasn’t expecting this book to be so damn good. The book hooked me when the story went to the main character’s childhood growing up as a sharecropper. My grandfather was a sharecropper, and all of a sudden this book wasn’t just reading anymore, it was family history. Each panel was no longer something distant for me, and I was moved over and over again
