LOL! Not sure if it would add to the definition, but in my experience this disease typically afflicts men - especially when said "superior argument" is presented by a woman, no matter how qualified she might be or how UNqualified he is on the subject at hand. See also: Mansplaining.

LOL. Yaaaaaass! Lastword-itis (cont.)
2) gerund or present participle: verb. Mansplaining; a variant of Lastworditis with an inherently sexist connotation as it is a symptom primarily exhibited in men. Affected men manifest the (same) inability to concede to a superior argument or opinion in an intellectual discussion (as displayed in PTS; see above); however, usage of this term applies only to circumstances in which the opposing positon(s) in a debate, or other contentious conversation, is/are put forth by one or more women. AKA "Pointless Posturing Trait", a common but narrowly defined example of chauvinistic behavior.

We (sort of) are [being sexist] now with the Mansplaining. I'll just have to come up with a 'female' version that's equal on the 'offensiveness' scale. *wink* everything I thought of so far is too derogatory and contains either a 5-letter 'B' word or a 4-letter 'C' word. Suggestions welcome. Mwahahahaha!
