It is hard to decide where the author sits with her behaviours. She is writing such an honest account. Sometimes she pokes fun at her 'Chinese ways' and other times she reflects on how her way worked well. Sometimes she admitted that her kids might be mad at her and with equal honesty explained that it was more important that they do the right thing. She accepted the consequences and yet she is uncertain.

This is hilarious. I am really enjoying this book, it offers such an honest look into the mind of a different kind of parent.. but more on that later.

She just threw two birthday cards back at her kids and rejected them and told them that she expected better.
