This is turning into a made for TV Disney movie. Informative but one dimensional characters. Very Johnny Tsunami-ish (I'm a child of the 90s). Also the slang and tech references are very dated and it was written in 2014!

Book club question: Charley criticizes Mark and says he isn't Indian because he didn't grow up in the Chumash reservation. Mark says "being Indian is not about the color of your skin or how much is in your blood. It's about what's in your heart." What does he mean? Do you agree? What "heart things" is Mark talking about?

Now we meet the antagonist- rude, cocky, a bad sport, and great at powwow dancing. Of course, Mark does poorly his first dance, so he can win at the end and earn the respect of his family and friends so support him along the way.
